Rosalea M. Pruett, age 92, of Gladstone, Illinois; passed away at her rural home on Monday August 30, 2021 at 6:00 am. Rosalea was born on November 7, 1928 in LaHarpe, Illinois and is the daughter of Eldon T. and Ada C. Barr Thorell. She was raised and educated in locally schools and graduated from Knoxville High School with the class of 1946. Rosalea married Howard D. Pruett on August 21, 1949 in the Knoxville Christian Church and he preceded her in death on August 21, 2005. Rosalea first work three years at Interstate Telephone Company. She was truly a ” farmwife ” farming with her Husband Howard her entire life in Abingdon and Oquawka, Illinois. Rosalea was an avid reader and was also known as the best cook in Henderson County. She attended Faith Bible Church in Oquawka, Illinois. Surviving her are her two daughters, Pamela Eagle and Roger of Knoxville, Illinois and Peggy S. Link of Oquawka, Illinois. There are three grandsons, Tim Eagle of Knoxville, Chad Link of Kirkwood, and Corey Link of Oquawka. Great grandchildren include, Taylor Link of Burlington, Iowa, Alison Link of Kirkwood, Illinois, Dylan Link, Brody Link, and Kamber Link, all of Oquawka, Illinois. She is preceded in her death by her parents, husband, Son-in-Law Rodney and brother Russell.
A graveside funeral service is planned on Sunday September 5, 2021 at 2:00 pm at the Knoxville Cemetery in Knoxville, Illinois. No visitation or viewing hours are currently being planned by her family. A memorial fund is being established for Faith Bible Church in Oquawka, Illinois.
