Abingdon-Avon School District To Comply With Governors Mandate

The Abingdon-Avon school board voted 5 to 1 Wednesday night to follow Governor J.B. Pritzker’s mandate requiring masks in schools. More than a dozen members of the district and the community shared their thoughts with the board during the special meeting held last night. The school board also voted to require all staff in the district to be tested for COVID-19, regardless of vaccination status. The mask mandate will take effect on Friday, September 10, 2021.
