Dennis Bruce Allaman, 74, of rural Monmouth, IL passed away at 11:50 am Thursday September 2, 2021 at St Joseph Medical Center in Bloomington, IL.

Denny was born September 21, 1946 in McDonough County Illinois the son of Bruce C. and Maxine R. (James) Allaman. He attended Sciota elementary schools & Northwestern High School, graduating in 1964, where he loved playing football. He was active in FFA and raised & showed Angus Cattle.

Denny married Sarah Hanna on August 26, 1965 at Fall Creek Church, rural Henderson County, IL. Together they spent 56 years living their love of farming, raising their family, cattle, crops, horses, & being involved in the community.

He attended Grace Bible Church.  Denny loved to fish, hunt, visit with friends and family & he was famous for his pork barbeque & his homemade candy.

He was the proud father of four sons; Chad (Lori) Allaman of Washington, IL, Craig (Heidi) Allaman of Little York, IL, Clint (Chelsey) Allaman of Bettendorf, IA, & Carty (Amber) Allaman of Rozetta, IL.  He was a big fan and supporter of their Yorkwood Football teams, their cattle and horse showing, Carty’s Calf Roping, & their college successes. He dearly loved his 9 grandchildren; Drew (Stephanie), Ian, Grace, Elaina, Luke, Addi, Ben, Harper, & Amelia. Besides his immediate family his survivors include his sister Carolyn (David)Bowman of Sciota, IL and his brother Lonnie Allaman of Macomb, IL, and beloved nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

A very brief memorial service will be held Tuesday September 7, 2021 at 5:00 pm followed by visitation until 7:00 pm at McGuire and Davies Funeral Home and Crematory, Monmouth, IL. Cremation has been accorded. A private family interment will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the OSF Holy Family Medical Center Emergency Room in Monmouth Illinois.
