Heavy Rain Impacting Illinois Pumpkin Harvest

Share

This year, some pumpkin farmers across Illinois are seeing smaller produce in their fields due to heavy rain earlier this summer.

Some parts of Central Illinois saw up to 10-inches of rainfall in a span of 24-hours, leaving many fields flooded.

It’s been a struggle for Rader Family Farms in Normal, but Adam Rader says the farm still sees plenty of pumpkins to harvest.

Radar says even with the rain, the farm is growing over 45 different kinds of pumpkins.
