Multiple Arrests and Large Quantity of Methamphetamine Seized in Galesburg

On September 23, 2021, the Knox County Sheriff’s Department conducted a joint operation with the Galesburg Police Department, Macomb Police Department, Monmouth Police Department, and the Western Illinois TOC West Task Force (FBI), at 906 McClure Street, Apartment 7, in Galesburg, IL. The joint operation was the culmination of a lengthy investigation which resulted in the seizure of approximately 13 pounds of Crystal ICE Methamphetamine, and 5 arrests.

-Daniel Villarreal, Jr. age 60, of McClure Street Apartment 7, Galesburg, IL was arrested on the following charges:

            -Possession 900+ grams of Methamphetamine

            -Meth Delivery / Intent to Deliver

            -Meth Conspiracy

-Clyde E. Charles, Jr. age 56, of 459 North Cedar Street in Galesburg, was arrested on the following charges:

            -Possession of 100<400 grams of Methamphetamine

            -Meth Delivery / Intent to Deliver

            -Meth Conspiracy

-Michael R. Hengle age 21, of 1046 Kellogg Street in Gilson, was arrested on the following charges:

            -FTA Warrant

-Anthony T. Cheeks age 27, of 447 Maple Steet in Galesburg, was arrested on the following charges:

            -FTA Warrant

-Devontre J. Campbell age 23, of 1215 Florence Ave in Galebusrg, was arrested on the following charges:

            -FTA Warrant

The street value of the Methamphetamine seized is approximately $104,000. All parties arrested are being held at the Knox County Jail awaiting bond. Anyone arrested is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
