The Monmouth-Roseville football team won its fourth straight game Friday night, an 18-15 decision at Rockridge that kept the 4-1 Titans undefeated (3-0) in the Three Rivers West division.

The United Red Storm improved to 2-3 overall by defeating Stark County 44-22 in Lincoln Trail Conference action.

Derek Chandler (24 carries, 194 yards) and CJ Johnson (8 carries, 132 yards) led the Monmouth-Roseville rushing attack, while wide receiver Logan Bratcher scored the Titans’ final touchdown on a 77-yard end around run after a shovel pass from quarterback Silas Braun.

The Titans led 12-0 at halftime on touchdown runs by Chandler (8 yards) and Braun (3 yards). Both Monmouth-Roseville scoring drives in the first half started from their own 1-yard line after the Titan defense stopped Rockridge on successive first-and-goal situations.

Bratcher’s touchdown gave the Titans an 18-8 lead with 5:55 to play but Rockridge (2-3 overall, 1-2 Three Rivers West) cut the lead to three points with 1:59 left on a 1-yard run by quarterback Brayden Deem, who finished the game with 170 yards rushing on 12 carries.

Monmouth-Roseville returns home to Coach Dobry Field next Thursday for a 6 p.m. home game against Orion.

United will play its Homecoming game next Friday, Oct. 1, against Ridgewood. Kickoff is slated for 7 p.m.
