He was born June 19, 1950, in Galesburg, the son of Frank and Ruth L. (Kemmitt) Pecsi.  He married Dixie J. Wilson on July 21, 1979, in Brookfield, Missouri.

He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Dixie; his mother, Ruth; siblings, Patti (Bob) Hanner of Normal, John (Mary Hepner) Pecsi of Keithsburg, and Jane Cox of Galesburg; and numerous other family members and friends, including aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and long-time family friends, Gary and Tammy Myers and their daughters, Camryn and Chloe.  He was preceded in death by his father.

Frank was raised and educated in Galesburg, graduating from Galesburg High School in 1968 and Knox College in 1972.  After graduating from Knox, Frank studied transcendental meditation in Switzerland under the Maharishi Mahesh Yogi.  He later became an instructor himself.  After Switzerland, Frank worked at Disney World in Orlando before returning home to Galesburg.  He had a 33-year career with the Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railroad as a signalman.  He retired in July 2016.

Frank was baptized at Trinity Lutheran Church.  He enjoyed reading, collecting classic cars, spending time with family, traveling, and being outdoors.

Private family funeral will be Saturday, October 16, 2021, at Bethel Baptist Church.  Pastor Weston Oxley will officiate.  No visitation is planned.  Cremation will be accorded following the funeral.  Please recall a cherished memory of Frank on that day.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, Galesburg Rescue Mission and Women’s Shelter, Guardian Angels Humane Society, or a charity of the donor’s choice.  Hinchliff-Pearson-West Funeral Directors and Cremation Services is honored to serve the family.  Online condolences may be made at www.h-p-w.com.
