Lakeshore Recycling Plans to Expand Services in Maple City

Share

Earlier this year the Monmouth City Council approved the $2.25 million sale of the city’s transfer station to Lakeshore Recycling, which prior to that purchase had acquired solid waste hauler Jackson Disposal.

Since then, Lakeshore Recycling has also acquired the former Alexander Lumber site on South Main Street in Monmouth.

Vice President of Business Development Dustin Reynolds describes his company’s investment in the Maple City:

“We are in discussions with (Monmouth’s leadership) to expand recycling options for the community,” Reynolds said. “We’ll also look into taking some of that waste up to our landfill in Atkinson.

“It’s early right now, but it’s our goal to be source-separating single stream recycling, construction demolition waste and trash, basically into three buckets — to hopefully add value to the community.”
