United graduate and local entrepreneur Alyssa Shea has brought a healthy drink option to the Monmouth community. Last year, Shea opened up her start up business Nutrition on Main in Galesburg and has expanded the brand, bringing The Healthy Fix to downtown Monmouth:
“It is a healthy drink shop. We’ve got protein meal replacement shakes for a healthy breakfast. We have boosted teas, which are like a healthy energy drink and then we have protein iced coffee, which is just a healthy version of iced coffee. Every month we have our new monthly flavors, which brings a lot of people in and then sometimes we have pop-ups in our shop. We’ve got other local businesses or online local people who like to come in and show their products and we like to help them do that.”
