Thank A Farmer

Share

As Harvest 2021 is winding down, Warren-Henderson Farm Bureau President Jake Armstrong has a crop update:

“Things are going well. It is no secret the yields are down, quality is not as good as we were all hoping for. I just ask if you are a farmer or you have a farmer in your life, just take a minute and thank them for the work they have done. It has been a tough year, a lot of things out of their hands that just worked against them. We have a stressful fertilizer season coming up with higher prices and lower yields. It is a stressful time right now for them. Just give them a hug, tell them you love them, and keep your head up guys, it will be okay.”

Bushels for Care with the Farm Bureau and OSF HealthCare is still ongoing this harvest season, in which donated grain will benefit the construction of the new emergency department at OSF Holy Family in Monmouth. For more information, contact the Farm Bureau at 309-734-9401.
