The Abingdon-Avon football team ended their season on Saturday with a loss to the Ridgeview/Lexington co-op in the IHSA 1A quarterfinals. The Tornadoes got off to a great start, jumping out to a 6-0 lead. Ridgeview/Lexington then took over the game, due in large part to their size advantage and strong run game. The Mustangs move on to the semifinals with a 51-12 win over the Tornadoes. Head coach Rick Quinn was proud of the way his team continued to fight against a bigger Mustang squad.
