Doreen L. Miller, age 62, of Gladstone, Illinois passed away suddenly at her Gladstone home on Saturday November 27, 2021 at 8:50 pm. Doreen was born on March 17, 1959 in Abingdon, Illinois and is the daughter of Norman L. and Mary Renata Beasley Miller. She was raised in Burlington and Henderson County where she attended local schools and then graduated from Union High School with the class of 1977. Doreen co-owned Lucky’s near Bluffdale in Henderson County which was the former “Pilothouse” Bar on U.S. 34.  She later was employed for 30 years to her retirement at the Iowa Army Ammunitions Plant in Middletown, Iowa. and was a member of it’s local Union. Doreen liked baking and decorating cakes and collected Giraffes and Mickey Mouse. She also liked to have benefits for her friends in need. Doreen loved going to yard sales and her # 1 interest was in her grand babies. 
She is survived by her daughter, Renada Conway and Matthew of Stronghurst, Illinois, her granddaughter, Oaklynn Conway at home, and Jensen Conway at home in Stronghurst, Illinois. There is one sister, Vallorie Brewer of Oquawka, Illinois and four brothers, Steven Miller and Carole of Portland, Oregon, Mark Miller of Lebanon, Indiana, Adrian Miller and Susan of Burlington, Iowa, and Brian Miller and Lisa of Monmouth, Illinois. There are numerous nieces and nephews also surviving her.   She is preceded in her death by her parents. 

A graveside funeral service is planned at 11:00 am on Friday December 3, 2021 at the Oquawka Cemetery in Oquawka, Illinois. Her daughter and family will plan visitation and will receive their friends at the Turnbull Funeral Home in Oquawka for an hour prior to the graveside service. A memorial fund is being established for the education of her grandchildren.
