COUNTRY Financial Representative Ben Olson is pleased to support the Monmouth Police Department as a 2021 recipient of a COUNTRY Financial Operation Helping Heroes donation. Olson presented $1500 to Monmouth Police Chief Joe Switzer on Monday, November 22nd to assist the department in the purchase of a new treadmill for the Officer Wellness Center.

“I’m so pleased to be able to help take care of those who help care for us and enrich our lives every day within our community – our local police officers,” said Olson. “It’s a small token of our appreciation that I hope will continue to help each officer on the department to positively impact our community.”

The Officer Wellness Center is located at police headquarters and provides quick access for officers to get some physical training by using the new treadmill in addition to free weights and other donated machines.

“Our officers often work long shifts and holidays to keep our community safe and it’s important for them to have a reliable, convenient spot to maintain their health and training for the job so they can get home as quick as possible to their families,” added Switzer. “I’m always appreciative of the support offered by our community. The donation from Ben and COUNTRY Financial means a lot to our department and our officers’ well-being.”

COUNTRY Financial donated $3 million in 2020 to organizations and programs that support first responders and active-duty service members, supporting the company’s vision to “enrich lives in the communities we serve.” COUNTRY Financial is continuing the program in 2021 and expanding the opportunity to educators, to help financial representatives further support their local community. The Operation Helping Heroes program was created in 2015 to support non-profit events and programs that benefit active-duty service members, veterans and their families.
