The season didn’t end the way the Monmouth-Roseville Titan football program would like it to have ended. Honestly, the season only ends completely satisfyingly for each of the eight state champions in high school football. With that being said, the 2021 Titan team did achieve something they could hang their hat on. As a team, Monmouth-Roseville rushed for 2,326 yards in their 10-game season. That total surpassed the 2018 quarter-finalist team’s total of 2284, which was accrued in a 12-game season. Adding in quarterback Silas Braun’s passing yardage of 1,451, the Titan churned out 3,777 yards from scrimmage. The 2018 squad had 3,998 yards of total offense, again, in a 12-game season.
Leading the way in rushing for Monmouth-Roseville was Derek Chandler’s season total of 1,286 yards. Two more Titan rushers were around the 500 yard mark for the season. Quarterback Silas Braun ran for 507 yards, while CJ Johnson garnered 484 yards on the ground. Not be overlooked in the record-breaking season was the veteran offensive line opening holes for the Monmouth-Roseville backs. The Titan offensive line was made up of seniors Aden Davis, Christian Tepexicuapa and Ben Anderson, along with juniors Ethan Davis and Trevor Snyder and senior tight end David Ramirez.
