Pauline Elizabeth Ryner, age 92, passed away peacefully at 11:05 a.m. at St. Mary Medical Center in Galesburg Illinois. She was surrounded by her loving family.  

She was born to Charles and Margaret (Marchand) Gorman on July 7, 1929 in Detroit, Michigan.   She married Dean Ryner on June 5, 1965, who preceded her in death on April 8, 2018.

Those left to cherish Pauline’s memory are her children Tina Winefordner, Iowa, Richard (Lorell) Wales, California, Robin (Russell) Koerner, Galesburg, Diane (Mark) Reynolds, Peoria, and David Ryner, Peoria;  nine grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and her two sisters, Sandra Hodel and Nancy O’Gorman, Michigan.

She was preceded in death by her parents and beloved husband; two brothers Alfred and Richard Gorman and one sister Charlene Hurtubise, all of Michigan; as well as an infant grandson and a niece and nephew Margaret Downing and David Davis; and one son-in-law Jack Winefordner.

Pauline enjoyed spending time with her family.  She loved gardening, playing cards, and crocheting.  When weather permited she could be found outside working in her yard.  On rainy or cold days, she would most likely be found crocheting a blanket or sitting at the table playing cards with family and friends.

Funeral services will be Sunday November 21, 2021 at 1:00p.m. at Wise Family Hoover Hall Funeral Home in Alexis, IL . Burial will be in the Alexis Cemetery, Alexis, IL.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Childrens Hospital or Safe Harbor Family Crisis Center, Galesburg.
