Ranee Annette Collura, 65, of Galesburg, died Wednesday, November 24, 2021 in the emergency room at OSF St. Mary Medical Center, Galesburg.

Ranee was born February 5, 1956 in Peoria, the daughter of Richard P. and Janice A. (Blakely) Smith. Ranee married John C. Collura on June 29, 1974 at Corpus Christi Catholic Church, Galesburg. Ranee is survived by her husband of 47 years, John; her parents, R.P. and Janice Smith of Galesburg; one daughter, Melissa (Michael) Phillips of Aurora, IL; and her two beloved grandsons, Justin and Ryan Phillips. Ranee was preceded in death by one brother, Richard Paul Smith, Jr.

Ranee worked for many years as a bookkeeper at Bill’s Seat Covers. She also worked for Eichorn Jewelry, in the cafeteria at district 205 and at the Knox County Courthouse in VA Affairs. Ranee enjoyed crafting, decorating, antiques, and working in her garden. Ranee loved going to the beach at St. George Island, Florida.

Visitation will be 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. Tuesday, November 30, 2021 at Watson Thomas Funeral Home and Crematory, Galesburg. Funeral services will follow at 12 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Glen Bocox officiating. Cremation will be accorded following services. Memorials may be made in Ranee’s memory to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Online expressions of sympathy may be sent to the family at www.watsonthomas.com.
