WHAT: Two Vehicle Fatal Traffic Crash
WHERE: Illinois Route 135, just north of 235th Avenue, Warren County
WHEN: Nov. 6, 2021 at approximately 8:40 p.m.
VEHICLES: Unit 1 – White 2014 Buick Encore
Unit 2 – Silver 2018 Toyota Highlander
DRIVERS: Unit 1 – Hannah S. Porter, a 34-year-old female from Monmouth, IL – Deceased
Unit 2 – Angela M. Deblock, a 46-year-old female from Aledo, IL – Airlifted to a regional hospital with serious injuries.
PASSENGERS: Unit 2 – Roland E. Nelson, a 78-year-old male from Viola, IL – Deceased
Unit 2 – John S. Deblock, a 50-year-old male from Aledo, IL – Transported by ambulance with non-life-threatening injuries.
PRELIMINARY: Preliminary investigative details indicate the following occurred: Unit 1 was traveling southbound on Illinois Route 135, just north of 235th Avenue in Warren County. Unit 2 was traveling northbound on Illinois 135, in the same area. Unit 1 crossed the center line and struck Unit 2 head-on.
The driver of Unit 1 was fatally injured as a result of the crash. The backseat passenger of Unit 2 was also fatally injured as a result of the crash. The driver of Unit 2 was airlifted to a regional hospital with serious injuries. The front seat passenger was transported by ambulance to a local hospital due to his injuries. No further information will be disseminated at this time.
