WCHD Administrator Jenna Link Breaks Down COVID-19 Booster Criteria

Share

Throughout the month of November, the Warren County Health Department will be holding their weekly COVID-19 vaccination clinics at the First Christian Church in Monmouth. Pfizer, Moderna, and Johnson and Johnson will all be available to receive, as well as, booster vaccines says Administrator Jenna Link:

“So Pfizer and Moderna, for the boosters, is six months after you have received your second dose; if it is a Johnson and Johnson booster, it just needs to be two months from your dose. Really the first priority group for Pfizer and Moderna is 65 and over, anyone in long term care, those front line healthcare workers that have more exposure to COVID, and then when you step down into the other age groups it is those individuals that have some underlying medical conditions that put them at a higher risk for having severe illness and potentially being hospitalized. With Johnson and Johnson, there are no criteria other than it needs to have been two months from your first dose.”

Vaccination clinics in November will be held on the first three Wednesdays from 8:30 to noon and 1 to 4 pm. During the Week of Thanksgiving, the clinic will be held that Monday prior, also from 8:30 to noon and 1 to 4 pm. To schedule an appointment held at the First Christian Church, contact the Health Department at 309-734-0823.
