Mr. Fulton Anel Ortiz Hernandez, 42, of Galesburg, Illinois, entered the gates of Heaven on Saturday, December 4, 2021, at OSF St. Mary’s Medical Center in Galesburg, Illinois.

Fulton was born on April 1, 1979, in Guatemala, as the son of Pedro Antonio Ortiz Flores and Elsa Hernandez. Later in life, he moved to the United States and has lived here for over 20 years.

He is survived by his five brothers; Henry Ortiz Hernandez, Hugo Ortiz Hernandez, Walter Ortiz Hernandez, and two other brothers who currently live in Guatemala, along with several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by both of his parents.

Fulton worked as a Clerk for Grand Liquor in Galesburg for many years. During his free time, he enjoyed many things such as running and playing numerous sports to stay active but above all, he was devoted to his Christian faith.

A Private Committal Service will be held on Friday, December 10, 2021, at East Linwood Cemetery in Galesburg. Memorial contributions in Fulton’s memory may be made to the family.
