Good Hope Woman Arrested for Financial Exploitation of an Elder

The McDonough County Sheriff reports the arrest of Anna M. Oller, 62, of Good Hope, IL for Financial Exploitation of an Elderly Person and 2 counts of Felony Theft.

On August 12, 2021, at approximately 1:53 p.m. the McDonough County Sheriff’s Office was contacted by an elderly male indicating that he was missing several items of property from his residence. The elderly male indicated he was hospitalized the week prior, and he believed his caretaker, Anna Oller, had his missing property. The McDonough County Sheriff’s detectives investigated the situation further and determined that Oller was in possession of the missing property and used the victims’ finances to her own benefit.  After a thorough investigation, an arrest warrant was issued for Oller, and she was taken into custody on November 30th by the McDonough County Sheriff’s Office at her residence in Good Hope.

The McDonough County States Attorney’s Office assisted in the investigation.

All suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
