Local High School Senior Football Players Chosen for 48th Annual Illinois Shrine Game

The Illinois High School Shrine Game has announced its rosters and coaching staff for next summer’s 48th annual game on June 18th. The game will be played at Tucci Stadium on the campus of Illinois Wesleyan University in Bloomington. The all-star game features most of the best senior football players across the state.

The Blue Team coaching staff will have a local coach taking part. Abingdon-Avon Tornado head coach Rick Quinn has been invited to help out with the coaching duties during the week. Area players on the blue squad include Camp Point Central running back Dominic Williams, A-Town wide receiever Easten Schisler, Farmington offensive lineman Chris Haggard and West Central offensive lineman Dexter Ricketts. On the defensive side of the football, Kewanee safety Niko Powe, Monmouth-Roseville linebacker Derek Chandler and United defensive lineman Cormaic Flynn will all take part in the game, as well.

On the Red Team offense, Rockridge wide receiver Nate Henry, was named to the squad.
