Located in Monmouth, Papa’s Bar and Grill offers a wide variety of options on the menu, from burgers, wraps, tenderloins, and barbeque, many local and out of towners make their way to have a taste. Melissa Mahoney from Only In Your State took a road trip around Central Illinois to feature seven hole-in-the-wall barbeque restaurants, making her way to Papa’s. Before taking ownership of Papa’s Bar and Grill in 2008, Mark Crain was a truck driver and developed a non-nonsense idea of what a restaurant should be. Slow cooked to perfection, Papa’s serves award winning food at 701 South Main Street in Monmouth with the trophies to prove it.
