Share

At 8:23pm, Friday, December 10th, 2021, a structure fire in Kirkwood was reported to Warren County 911. All three fire stations from the Central Warren Fire Protection District responded. Upon arrival, smoke was showing from underneath the single-dwelling structure, as well as in the attic. Crews made a transition attack, and made an aggressive interior attack. Structural integrity of the dwelling was compromised, so interior crews could only advance halfway inside the structure. A coordinated vent and attack strategy was implemented. The fire was extinguished. The fire is being investigated by the Office of the State Fire Marshal of Illinois.

Assisting the Central Warren Fire Protection District was Warren County Sheriff’s Office, Warren County 911, the State Fire Marshal, Galesburg Hospital Ambulance Service, and Ameren Illinois.
