COVID numbers are remaining steady as metrics in Warren County continue to be closely monitored as the county remains above 50 per 100,000 positive cases and ICU availability is below 20%. To continue in the fight against COVID-19, the Warren County Health Department will be holding vaccination and booster clinics at the Health Department throughout the month of December. Administrator Jenna Link breaks down upcoming pediatric clinics:
“This coming Friday we have an adult clinic from 9 a.m. to noon where we offer boosters or 1st or 2nd doses, whatever anybody needs. We have all three vaccines available. Then Saturday we do have a pediatric Pfizer clinic for ages 5 to 11 and that is a 2nd dose clinic, so it is a follow up from the 1st dose that we did in November. On December 6th, it will be the next opportunity. It will be a 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. clinic and is a pediatric clinic as well. It is really the next opportunity for families that really want to have their kids that are ages 5 to 11 start their Pfizer vaccinations for COVID.”
Administrator Link informs testing remains widely available throughout the local area at several locations including, Walgreens, rapid testing at the Health Department, OSF Holy Family, saliva testing at Monmouth College, Eagle View in Oquawka, or the Knox County Health Department.
