Wendell Howard Larson 93, of Monmouth passed away on November 28, 2021, at Hope Creek Care Center in Moline Il. He was born on September 15, 1928, the son of Leslie and Bessie (Palmburg) Larson in Monmouth Il. He graduated from Briggsville High School in 1947. He married Jean Primmer of Vinton IA on June 1st, 1952, in Cedar Rapids IA.

He is survived by his wife Jean, and five children Wendy (Mark) Young of Villa Park CA, Mike (Phyllis) Larson of Brussels WI, Julie (Mark) Rigg of Geneseo IL, Tim (Paula) Larson of Georgetown, TX and Cindy (Paul) Drummond of Erie IL and there are 11 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren. He is also survived by one brother Gene of Monmouth

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother Lawrence of Joliet IL

He worked in farming until 1961 when he went to Homestead FL for heavy equipment training then he started working for Warren County Highway Department in 1976. He was elected Road Commissioner for Hale Township. He retired from there in 1990, after retirement he and Jean traveled extensively in their RV’s and camped in all but three of the 50 States and visited in all the states and also Mexico. They moved from Monmouth to Roseville in 1992. He was a lifelong member of the first Lutheran Church of Monmouth.

Graveside service will be held on Thursday December 2, 2021, at 2:00 P.m. at the Warren County Memorial Park Cemetery Mausoleum. Memorials may be made to Wendell Larson Memorial Fund.  Online condolences may be made at www.wisefamilyfuneralhome.com. Wise Family Funeral Home in Roseville is in charge of arrangements.
