In the past eighteen months, school districts across the nation have had to face the unimaginable. Wrapping up the first semester just a short time ago, West Central High School Principal Jason Kirby is already looking into next year with goals set for a great second semester:
“Continue to work towards building kids up to be not only great students, but great citizens. Giving them everything they need, not only to succeed in the classroom, but to succeed in life and to continue to build those relationships with kids. That is what over the past two years has suffered more than anything else is that individual relationship with kids, the limits that were put on you as an educator on the time you got to spend with kids, or the proximity you got to have with them. Just continuing to foster those relationships so all those kids know and realize and really, really know within that the teachers care about them, and they want to see those relationships continue to be lifelong.”
The West Central School district will begin their second semester on Tuesday, January 4th.
