The United Red Storm Athlete of the Week is junior boys swimmer, Ethan Elswick. Ethan had his best finishes of the season in a meet against Moline and Peoria Notre Dame. The West Central Heat Athlete of the Week is senior boys basketball player, Andy Lumbeck. Andy’s steady play last week for the Heat nearly helped the Heat pull off the upset of Midwest Central and BPC. He scored an average of over 10 points a game for the week, including 12 in a narrow loss to Midwest Central. Andy nailed four, 3-pointers during the week.

The Galesburg Silver Streak Athlete of the Week is sophomore boys swimmer, Riley Stevenson. Riley was nearly unbeatable last week, garnering several great finishes. His four total top-3 finishes at the Richwoods Midwest Invite helped the Streaks to claim the overall team championship. Riley was 1st in the 100 backstroke and 3rd in the 50 freestyle, as well as being a part of two, top-3 relays.

The Abingdon-Avon Tornado Athlete of the Week is senior boys basketball player, Asa Stegall. Asa had a big hand in his team getting a Great Western Shootout win over Flanagan/Cornell.
