Lake Shore Recycling Selected as City of Monmouth’s New Garbage and Recycling Carrier

Monmouth City Council has selected Lake Shore Recycling as the city’s trash and recycling pick-up carrier, which City Administrator Lew Steinbrecher says based on the quoted rates, he expects a freeze of garbage collection costs for Monmouth residents over the next five years:

“Based on the rates they quoted in their bid and what is included in the contract, we project that, we believe that we could freeze the garbage collection fee for approximately five years. So yes, it is a cost savings in the sense that fee will not increase over the next five years.”

Steinbrecher informs the contract with Lake Shore Recycling is for seven years.
