Monmouth College Women’s Swimming Team Earns All-America Academic Honors

The Monmouth College women’s swimming & diving team has been selected by the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) as a Scholar All-America Team. The women posted a GPA of 3.29 in the fall semester to earn the honor.

“They have handled everything so well this year from returning to in-person classes, to getting back in shape after an 18-month hiatus from the pool,” said first-year head coach Jake Dacus. “This is just another thing that demonstrates what a great group we have on the women’s team”

The women’s team last earned the honor for the 2019-20 spring semester, as they did not compete in the 2020-21 academic year. They were also a CSCAA Scholar All-America team in 2015-16.

“Coach Dacus was a great hire this year and this is just another example of why,” said CSCAA Executive Director Greg Earhart. “These 16 women are some of the best ambassadors that Monmouth and the Midwest Conference could ask for.”

Both the men’s and women’s swim teams are home on Saturday, Jan. 29 against Knox with the Senior Day meet starting at 1 p.m. The teams will then have two weeks off before the Midwest Conference Championships Feb. 18-20 in Grinnell, Iowa.
