The United Red Storm girls fell to Knoxville on Saturday by the score of 52-43 in the final pool play game of LTC tournament. Knoxville got out to an early lead at 15-1 after one quarter. The Red Storm struggled on offense in the first half as the Blue Bullets increased the lead to 26-7 at the half. The Red Storm found their shooting touch in the second half but the damage had already been done. United outscored Knoxville 19-15 in the third quarter paced by Karragan Sperry and Luci Kane with 6 points each. A 17-11 advantage in the final quarter was not enough for the Red Storm to get the win but it did show the team would not give up. Leading United was Laney Butler with 11 and Luci Kane added 10. Also scoring were Karragan Sperry with 9, Reece Bertelsen and Amber Brunswig each with 4 while Katie Flynn had 3 and Ellie Robinson 2.
