As things continue to unfold during the coronavirus pandemic, the CDC has dived deeper into lengths for isolation and quarantining. Currently the Warren County Health Department follows the ten-day isolation period as they await final guidance from the Illinois Department of Public Health says Administrator Jenna Link:

“We know a lot more about when in your illness are you most contagious and when is it really critical that you isolate or quarantine. They are trying to narrow that down. Right now, we tell people you are going to isolate for ten days from onset of symptoms. If you are asymptomatic, we do ten days from your test date. Now they are looking at those first five days are really the critical days and are talking about shortening the isolation period, shortening the quarantine time a little bit. We really haven’t made any changes to what we are doing until we get final guidance from the state of Illinois.”

Upcoming vaccination and booster clinics at the Warren County Health Department for those 12 and older will be on January 7th, 14th, 21st, and 28th from 9 am to noon. A Pediatric Pfizer clinic for those 5 to 11 years of age is scheduled for January 19th. Schedule an appointment by calling 309-734-0823.
