Cooper facing several traffic violations

McDonough County Sheriff Nick Petitgout reports the arrest of Jason Cooper, 36, of Vermont, IL.

Cooper was observed by deputies operating a motor vehicle while leaving a protected address in the Bushnell area. Deputies were aware that Cooper currently had a revoked driver’s license through Illinois. Cooper fled from deputies committing several traffic violations. After a short pursuit deputies located Cooper’s vehicle at a residence in rural Warren County. Copper was located inside the residence and arrested without incident.

Cooper is charged with Aggravated Fleeing and Eluding, Aggravated Driving while License Revoked, Speeding, Disobeying Stop Sign, Failure to Signal Turn. He was lodged in the McDonough County Jail.

McDonough County Deputies were assisted by the Warren County Sheriff’s Office and the Illinois State Police.

All suspects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
