Gail L. Miller, age 60, of rural Monmouth, passed away at 7:19 am at his home in rural Monmouth on Monday February 14, 2022. Gail was born on October 18, 1961 in Stillwater, Minnesota and is the son of Gaylord and Ruby Colley Miller. He was raised in Stillwater Minnesota where he attended Lakeland Elementary School and later Stillwater High School. Gail married Vicki J. Bell on March 9, 1990 in Stillwater, Minnesota and she currently is surviving. Gail has been an over-the-road trucker for fifteen years. He began trucking for TMC. Trucking in South St. Paul, Minnesota for a number of years, and then for PFT Trucking also in South St. Paul. He later drove for Daily Express in Carlisle, Pennsylvania and later was employed by Del Monte Foods in Stevens Point, Wisconsin until his retirement. Gail loved to watch old Westerns on the TV and loved deer hunting and going fishing. Gail also loved the sport of “Miller High Life” also a Minnesota product. He is survived by his wife, Vicki J. Miller of rural Monmouth, two sons, Travis Miller of Monmouth and Joshua Miller of Galesburg, Illinois. One daughter survives, Desiree Munson of Lakeland, Minnesota, ten grandchildren, and two great grandchildren, surviving. Gail’s sister is surviving, Jane Miller in Plainfield, Wisconsin and three brothers, Eugene Gregory of West Virginia, Dennis Miller and Joseph Miller, both of LaSalle Peru, Illinois. A number of nieces, nephews, and cousins also are surviving Gail. Preceding Gail in death is his father, Gaylord, Sister Linda, Grandson Dylan Miller, Mother Ruby, and his sister Patty Gregory.
Cremation has been accorded and a visitation and funeral service are not currently planned by his family. A “Celebration of his Life” is planned at a later date.
