Galesburg Man Air-Lifted After Crash

A Galesburg man is in critical condition after a single car accident.  Illinois State Police say the accident happened on U.S Highway 34 in Warren County just after 1am Sunday.  Police say 43-year-old Ryan Byrd went off the road to the right and was ejected from the car when it overturned. 

Byrd was flown to an area hospital with life-threatening injuries. This crash is still under investigation and no further information is available at this time.

He is being cited for aggravated driving under the influence, driving with a revoked license, failure to wear a seatbelt, and other charges.
