At approximately 6:45 pm On Friday, February 25, 2022, the Galesburg Police Department responded to the 600 BLK W Brooks St. in reference to gun shots. Upon arrival 42-year-old Tommie L Martin was found to be suffering from gunshot wounds to the torso. Martin was transported to St. Mary’s Hospital in Galesburg and later declared to be deceased. This case is currently under investigation with the assistance of the Illinois State Police and the Knox County Sheriff’s Office.
