Tuesday night at the ICS gym the Trojans took on Williamsfield in night two of the Class 1A IESA regionals. The #1 seed Trojans and #4 seed Bombers were both looking to advance to Thursday nights championship game. The Trojans jumped out to a 13-2 first quarter lead behind 5points from Nick Huston and 4 apiece by Andrew Way and Elijah Noel. The Trojans used a trapping half court press to trap the Bombers on numerous occasions. The Trojans dominated the second quarter outscoring Williamsfield 14-4 to carry a 27-6 lead into the locker room. Nick Huston had 9 in the quarter and Elijah Noel contributed 4 to the big lead. Andrew Way got things started in the third with 13 straight points to stretch the lead to 42-9 with 3 minutes to play in the third. The Trojans would then carry a 46-13 advantage into the final quarter. Numerous bench players got in to play in the fourth as the Trojans were outscored 10-4 but the early lead was safe as ICS won 50-23. Leading the way was Andrew Way with 20 points and 7 rebounds. Also scoring was Nick Huston with 14, Elijah Noel with 8 while Clay Casteel, Kevin Vasquez, TJ Price and Alex Simmons all had 2.
