Stone Hayes Center for Independent Living in Galesburg is now offering a new program for individuals with hearing challenges through ITAC. Adult Transition Coordinator Sarah Nelson explains:

“It is a quick easy, free process. The only stipulations are you live in Illinois, you have an active phone or cell phone service, and that you have some hearing issues. It is just a simple form your doctor signs and then you bring that in here. We have a whole display of different phones and we’ve even got some cell phones and you pick which one would work best for you.”

Additionally, Dawn Hand is the new Executive Director at Stone Hayes, while Carrie Bewley will take over the Associate Director position at the end of February following Michael Bohnenkamp’s retirement.
