It’s Pediatric Dental Month

February is Pediatric Dental Month and Warren County Health Department Administrator Jenna Link says they are beginning to shift back into preview roles where they went into schools and presented proper oral hygiene to children:

“In previous years, our Community Health Coordinator Kira Schumm, she always goes into our schools. We received funding form the Warren County United Way to go into the preschool and kindergarten. We go in with toothbrushes and toothpaste and give little presentations on proper oral hygiene and frequency and tips on brushing and flossing and the good nutrition that goes along with that. Kind of getting back into those things and so she will be reaching out to the schools and seeing if we can make arrangements to go in and do presentations this year. Those are things that have been kind of put-on hold in the past because of COVID and risk of exposure and things like that.”

The Warren County Dental Clinic is open Monday through Thursday 8 am to 5 pm.
