Jane M. Cook, age 82, of Monmouth,  passed away at 6:40 am on Friday January 28, 2022 at the home of her daughter Pam, rural Warren County, Illlinois. Jane was born on August 3, 1939 in Avon, Illinois and is the daughter of John and Maxine Brown Pierce. She was raised in Monmouth where she attended local schools and Monmouth High School. Jane married Albert Cook on December 26, 1959 in Monmouth, Illinois and he preceded her on june 2, 1968.
Jane worked at Monmouth Nursing Home in their housekeeping for a number of years, and later work in the kitchen at Community Medical Center in Monmouth. She has also been active at Stom Center of Monmouth.
She is survived by two daughters, Penny Bellinger of Little York, Illinois and Pam Powell and Johnny of Monmouth, Illinois.  There is one son, Mike Cook and Chris of Little York, Illinois. There are nine grandchildren surviving and several great grandchildren. There are three sisters surviving, Bert Nickels of Kalama, Washington, Pat Kinney of Galva, Illinois and Mary Kemp of Washington, Indiana.  She is preceded in her death by her parents, husband, four brothers, two sisters, and her granddaughter. A graveside service is planned on February 12, 2022 at 11:00am at Warren County Memorial Park Cemetery. Cremation has been accorded.  A memorial fund is being established for Strom Center of Monmouth, Illinois
