Jason Leon Winters, age 47, of Dallas City, Illinois, passed away at 12:29 a.m. Saturday February 19, 2022 at Southeast Iowa Regional Medical Center in Fort Madison, Iowa.  He was born February 5, 1975 in Galesburg, Illinois, the son of Paul Michael and Debra Sue Zang Winters.

Jason was a 1993 graduate of West Burlington (Iowa) High School.  He was a pipe insulator and had worked for M&O Insulation out of Peoria, Illinois for the past 25 years.  He was a member of Local 81 Pipe Insulators Union of Cedar Rapids, Iowa. 

In his spare time, Jason loved riding his motorcycle, 4-wheeling, fishing, boating,  and most importantly, spending time with his nieces and nephews.  He was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan. Survivors include his parents, Paul and Debbie Winters of Stronghurst, grandmothers: Jewel Winters of Galesburg, IL, and Phyllis Zang of Monmouth, IL, two brothers: Chris (Jesse) Winters of Stronghurst, Travis Winters of Stronghurst, one sister: Ariel Zang of Oquawka, IL, and six nieces and nephews: Landon, Gracey, Lauren, Liam, Kenzley, and Weston.  He was preceded in death by his grandfathers: Leo Winters and Larry Zang.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 23, 2022 at Banks & Beals Funeral Home in Stronghurst.  Cremation rites will be accorded following the visitation.  A memorial fund has been established, and will be designated later.  Please visit Jason’s obituary at banksandbeals.com to sign the guest book and leave a condolence.
