Macomb Police Respond to Hit and Run Traffic Accident

On Sunday, February 20, 2022, at approximately 6:05 am, the Macomb Police Department responded to the intersection of Grant St. and Maple Ave. for a vehicle that had struck a tree. Upon arrival, Macomb Police Officers determined the vehicle occupants left the scene of the accident. Officers located the four occupants from the vehicle in the 700 block of S. Campbell St. The driver of the vehicle was identified as Treshawn Howard (21). Howard was found to be in possession of methamphetamine at the time of his arrest. Howard was charged with possession of methamphetamine, no valid driver’s license, failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident, leaving the scene of a property damage accident, and no insurance. Howard was lodged at the McDonough County Jail. All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
