Monmouth-Roseville Titan Boys Basketball Season Ends in Regional Semifinals

The Monmouth-Roseville boys basketball season came to a close Wednesday night in the semifinals of the Class 2A Knoxville Regional, as the host Blue Bullets secured a 44-39 victory on their home floor.
Monmouth-Roseville, which entered the regional as the five seed, was led in scoring by senior forward Ben Anderson, who tallied a team-high 11 points.
The Blue Bullets, champions of the Lincoln Trail Conference and the regional’s fourth seed, improved to 27-5 on the strength of senior David Hise’s game-high 22 points.
Titans head coach Jake Sottos was obviously disappointed with the final score but certainly had many positive post-game thoughts about this year’s team, his first as a head coach of the Titan varsity:

The Titans end the season at (18-12), with 7 of those 12 losses by five points or less.
