Rob “Buck” Lance Rogers, 57 of Abingdon, has passed from this world as we know it.  He was born February 20, 1964 in Los Angeles, California, the son of John Westly and Marilyn (Mulligan) Rogers. 

  He married Darla Nelson and they later divorced.  He then married Mary Greenwald in 1992 in Las Vegas, Nevada.

           Rob is survived by his wife of 30 years, Mary; his boys, Dustin (Kristen) Timmons of Knoxville, Tyson (Lindsey) Rogers of rural Maquon, Tanner (Lauren) Rogers of Dixon, Iowa and Cole Rogers at home; six grandchildren, Lilly Rogers, Willow Rogers, Wren Rogers, Gentry Timmons, Caden Lavender and Raegan Rogers, a brother Johnny Rogers and A Nephew Daniel Rogers. A niece Amber Rogers, of Galesburg and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother, Randy Rogers and sister Tammy Rogers.

Rob spent the first five years of his life in California.  His family later moved to Galesburg and then to Abingdon, where he started school there in the 5th grade.  He graduated from Abingdon High School in 1983.  He worked at Koppers near Galesburg for almost 18 years. He owned and operated a power washing business for 16 years.  He was of the Christian faith. He loved the outdoors, fishing, camping, hunting, mushroom hunting, boating on the Mississippi River, riding motorcycles and 4-wheelers and mostly, living life to the fullest. He adored his family and never knew a stranger. His smile and laugh was a gift to us all.

Cremation will be accorded.  To celebrate his life, the family will receive relatives and friends from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, February 20, 2022 at the Abingdon American Legion Post #381, 546 State Route 41.  Hinchliff-Pearson-West Funeral Directors and Cremation Services Abingdon Chapel is assisting Rob’s family with arrangements.
