United Red Storm Boys’ Basketball End Regular Season with a Win

Friday night the United Red Storm boys closed their regular season with a 60-22 win over Rowva-Williamsfield. This one belonged to the Red Storm from the beginning as they led 12-5 after one behind 5 from Abel Wilson . Cormaic Flynn and Nolan Leffler each had 6 points in the second as the Red Storm would open a 26-12 halftime advantage. The Red Storm put this one away in the third as they outscored the visitors 25-4 and would lead 51-16 after three. The Red Storm had eight players score in this one led by Cormaic Flynn and Abel Wilson each with 14. Nolan Leffler joined them in double figures with 11. Also scoring were AJ Jenks with 6, Hunter Hall 5 while Aiden Parkins and Colin Jenks each had 4. Jack Jungman rounded out the scoring with a basket. The Red Storm close out the regular season with a 24-6 record and will take their number 2 seed and begin Regional play on Saturday as they will host Galva beginning at 1:00 at the U. In the JV game United won 42-31. Leading scorer was Hunter Hall with 22 while Dee Sargeant and Carter Rothzen each had 6. Also contributing were Carson Horner with 4, Zeke Clark and Landon Hannam with 2 each.
