Angel Downs, 55, of Monmouth, passed away at 5:10 a.m. March 5, 2022 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria, IL.
Angel was born May 12, 1966 in Monmouth, Illinois the daughter of Earl Cunningham and Patricia Barry. She was raised and educated in Monmouth graduating from Monmouth High School. She later attended both Monmouth College and Carl Sandburg College.
She worked as a self-employed massage therapist for a number of years.
Angel enjoyed gardening, gambling and spending time with her family.
Surviving Angel is her mother; two sons, Bobby Downs of Peoria, IL and Marcus Munson of Monmouth; brothers, David Barry and Bryan Greenhaw; aunt, Goldie Barry; cousins, Tammy and Rebecca Barry all of Monmouth. Several nieces, nephews & cousins also survive.
She was preceded in death by her father.
A gathering of family and friends will be held Thursday, March 10, 2022 from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Cremation will be accorded following the gathering.
