Bryan L. Williams, 62, of Gilson, passed away with his family at his side, on Monday, March 28, 2022, 11:15 PM at OSF St. Mary Medical Center.

Bryan was born on July 29, 1959 in Canton. He was the son of John Robert and Dorothy Ann (Griffith) Williams. Bryan married Susan Hackelton in 1977. He later married Sandra Boettcher on May 18, 2001 in Peoria. Together they shared a life for 15 years until she preceded him in death on June 5, 2016. Bryan is survived by his children, Jonathon (Amanda) Williams of Abileen, TX and Kellie (Keri) Curtis of Abingdon; siblings, Linda (Stephen) Skaggs of Trivoli, Bruce Williams of Texas and Craig (Margie) Williams of Chilicothe; and five grandchildren, Chelsey Lytle, Rebecca Meyers, Brandon Meyers, Lilliana Meyers and Nathaniel Lewis. He was preceded in death by his parents and wife, Sandra.

Bryan attended Farmington schools. He was an auto-mechanic and drove a semi for area farmers. Bryan enjoyed fishing and playing with his remote-control truck and working on vehicles. Always the life of the party, Bryan never knew a stranger, and his presence was always known when he entered the room. Even if it was followed by “here comes the crazy red-head.” His “bigger than life” personality will be missed by everyone who knew him.

Cremation Rites will be accorded. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Hurd-Hendricks Funeral Homes & Crematory in Knoxville, Illinois have been entrusted with arrangements. On-line condolences and/or expressions of sympathy may be sent through www.hurd-hendricksfuneralhome.com
