Colchester man arrested on burglary charges

On March 24, 2022, at approximately 11:20 a.m. the McDonough County Communications Center received a call stating that a trailer at 6560 U.S. Highway 136, Countryside Mobile Home Park, in Colchester, IL had been burglarized. The manger/owner of the business stated that a trailer had been entered and some tools were missing. The complainant also stated that a surveillance camera had been placed in the empty mobile home. McDonough County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to the area and were able to locate a suspect. Trenton P. Bundy, 37, of Colchester, was taken into custody at 3:00 p.m. by Sheriff’s Deputies. Bundy was charged with Burglary and Criminal Trespass to a Residence. Bundy was lodged in the McDonough County Jail in lieu of bond. Sheriff’s Deputies recovered the suspected stolen tools from Bundy’s residence.The Colchester Police Department assisted with the investigation.All suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
