GPD Respond to Shooting Incident Thursday Afternoon

On Thursday, March 3, 2022 at 1352 hours the Galesburg Police Department responded to the 1400 BLK of N West St. in response to a shooting. Upon arrival, a single victim was found with a gun shot wound to the torso. The victim was later transported to St. Mary’s Hospital for treatment.

Several district #205 schools were placed on a temporary soft lock down out of an abundance of caution. The Galesburg Police Department is investigating this incident at this time.
