Now through Wednesday, the Recharge Teen Center in Monmouth will be open 10 am to 6 pm for parents to enroll their teen before the grand opening this Thursday, March 31st. Coordinator Amy Gugliotta says the first day will be a get to know day; however, several activities are lined up throughout the month of April:
“We want to have a lot of structured activities and different things they are interested in, but we also want to provide some time for them just to come in if they are just wanting to hang out and work on homework together or come in and do artwork by themselves or watch a movie or video games. Our first thing that we are having is the charcuterie showdown. We have adulting 101 days where we are bringing in different people. We will have a couple of food days where we are making spaghetti or taco days. We are hoping at least one day a week we are able to do a cooking class.”
The Recharge Teen Center will be open Monday through Fridays 3 to 6 pm and then 2 to 6 pm come summertime. For more information and upcoming events, search Recharge Teen Center on Facebook.
