Hazel M. Aydelott, 96, of Galesburg, formerly of London Mills, passed away peacefully on March 5, 2022 at the OSF Richard Owens Hospice Home, Peoria.

Hazel was born on October 24, 1925 in Willow Hillill, PA. She was the daughter of John and Goldie (Dalton) Steck. She married E. Wayne Aydelott on November 27, 1944 at the Church of God in Galesburg. Together they celebrated 53 years of marriage before his passing on April 29, 1998. Hazel is survived by her children, Roy Aydelott of Kildeer, IL, Linda Hall of Coos Bay, OR and Jan (Chip) Emig of San Leon, TX; four grandchildren and a great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, four sisters, six brothers and her daughter-in-law, Patricia.

Hazel graduated from Gilson School. She was a homemaker. Hazel was an avid Chicago Bulls and Cubs fan. She loved to garden, quilt and was a seamstress.

Graveside services will be held 10:00 A.M. on Wednesday, March 9, 2022 at the Maquon Cemetery, Maquon, Illinois. Memorial contributions may be made to the London Mills Fire Department.
